The Outdoor Living Revolution: How Irish Homeowners Are Transforming Their Gardens

The Garden Has Become the New Living Room

There has been a seismic shift in how Irish homeowners think about their outdoor space. Where the back garden once meant a patch of grass and the occasional summer barbecue, it is now being reimagined as a fully functional extension of the home.

What's Driving the Change?

Remote and Hybrid Work: Post-2020, millions of Irish workers established home offices. A purpose-built garden studio changed everything — a dedicated, professional workspace just steps from the back door.

The Premium on Space: With property prices remaining high across Ireland, extending the functional footprint of your existing home is often more cost-effective than moving.

The Rise of Wellness Culture: Garden yoga rooms, meditation studios, and home gyms have become increasingly popular.
