Why Off-Site Manufacturing Delivers Better Outcomes
Building your home in a factory, away from your site, produces a better result than building it on your land — because a controlled factory environment eliminates the variables that cause problems in traditional construction.
The Manufacturing Timeline
- Chapter Two and Three garden pods: 3–5 weeks
- Larger residential structures (Chapter One): 5–8 weeks
- Bespoke business pods: 4–6 weeks
What Happens in the Factory
Stage 1 — Structural Frame: Fabricated to your exact specification and verified.
Stage 2 — Insulation and Weatherproofing: Installed to achieve the specified thermal performance rating.
Stage 3 — Mechanical and Electrical First Fix: All pipework and cable runs installed and tested before walls and ceilings are closed.
Stage 4 — Internal Finishes: Walls, ceilings, flooring, joinery, kitchen and bathroom fit-out completed in the factory.
Stage 5 — External Cladding and Roofing: Completed and inspected. Every joint sealed and tested.
Stage 6 — Quality Inspection: Full quality inspection against your design specification before delivery.
The manufacturing process is where quality is built in — not bolted on. That is the New Chapter Homes difference.
